God of War vei vuoden peli -tittelin aivan Red Dead Redemption 2:sen nenän edestä. Länkkäriseikkailun ei kuitenkaan tarvinut jäädä nuolemaan näppejään, sillä se voitti palkinnot mm. parhaasta tarinankerronnasta sekä musiikista.
